Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs)

Lateral flow tests are a useful screening test for Covid in people without Covid symptoms. However, it is important to note that if you develop symptoms of Covid then you should go on to have a different test called a PCR. If you have Covid symptoms then a lateral flow test may not give the correct result.

The typical Covid symptoms include:

  • High fever
  • New persistent cough
  • Loss of sense of taste or smell

Reminder that anyone coming to the surgery, must continue to wear a face mask and follow social distancing rules.

If you have any covid symptoms please do not attend the surgery.

Many thanks for your co-operation.

GP Appointments - Update for patients

Your GP is here for you.  Your appointment will initially be by telephone, but it the GP wishes to see you, then they will make an appointment for you to attend the surgery.  This is the  system the reception have been asked to follow.

NHS advice is that anyone coming to the surgery still needs to wear a Face Mask and we need to limit the number of people in the waiting room and ask that you sanitise your hands on entry to the surgery.  This is the guidance for health care settings to keep in place from 19.7.21 onwards, so please ensure you still have a face mask on when coming to the surgery.

Thank you for your cooperation.

COVID Vaccinations - information

From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:

It may take more than a week for your identity to be checked and verified so you can use these services.

Registering for the NHS App is easy to download and you will have access, once identification has been provided and it’s been verified.

If you cannot access these online services, and you have had 2 vaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS by calling 119. Only call 119 if you had your second dose more than 5 working days ago. It may take 7 working days for the letter to arrive.

This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status. Please do not contact the practice.

When you're planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get  proof of your vaccination status before you leave.

More information can be found on the GOV.UK website.  Please also see information on how to use the NHS App.
