COVID Vaccinations - information valid at 10th January 2021
This service is being provided alongside routine work. We will be vaccinating based on age priority list, as issued by HM Government, patients over the age of 80 years being first which we have already started vaccinating. Only patients with a booked appointment will be vaccinated and we will contact you. Patients will require a 2nd dose, however this will now be given at week 12 and NOT week 3, inline with recently published government guidelines. Patients will be given the same vaccine for the 2nd dose. Due to the tempearature/storage requirements of the Pfizer vaccine we have a limited number of days to use the vaccine and so these clinics will be done at Wetherby Health Centre. We are working to very short turnarounds once we have confirmation of delivery of this vaccine in order to book patients and staff clinics. The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine will shortly be available and these appointments may be able to be offered at the surgery as it can be moved. Patients who have not been contacted yet, will be contacted as more delivery dates are confirmed over the next couple of months. NHS England are managing and coordinating delivery nationally. Our phones lines are very busy so we ask you not to contact us, we will contact you when we received notification of further supplies.

- Where appointments in person are needed a face masks must be worn at all times (children exempt)
- If you have a fever, a new persistent cough, or loss of sense of taste or smell you should arrange for a Corona virus test by calling 119 or online here:
